Warranties

The following warranty information applies to altitude generators only.

The Sierra 100, Everest Summit II, and HYP 123 altitude generators include a 1-year/2,500 hour warranty, which guarantees that the generator will be reasonably free of defects in material, workmanship, and design. If the conditions of the warranty are met, the generator will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer.

Using the generator for any purpose other than performing altitude training with an official Hypoxico altitude tent or mask will void the warranty.

Damage or malfunction caused by misuse or user error is not covered under the warranty. This includes, but is not limited to leaving the generator continuously running for excessive periods of time, plugging the generator into the incorrect voltage outlet, or modifying the generator in any way. Damage or malfunction caused by moisture, improper storage, exposure to extreme temperatures, and impact are not covered. The warranty does not cover theft.

The warranty begins on the day that the altitude generator is delivered and ends after 1 year or 2,500 hours of use, whichever comes first. It is non-transferable and may only be claimed by the individual who originally purchased the unit directly from Hypoxico.

Refurbished units and rental buyouts are also covered under this warranty. The warranty start date for a refurbished unit or rental buyout falls on the day that the generator was delivered to the customer.

Extended Warranties

Extended altitude generator warranties are available at the time of purchase. This costs $300 and extends the warranty of the Sierra 100 to 2 years/7,500 hours, and the Everest Summit II and HYP 123 to 3 years/7,500 hours. Extended warranties cannot be purchased after the generator has been delivered, and are not available for refurbished generators or rental buyouts.

Issues Outside Warranty

Even when a generator is outside the warranty period, Hypoxico will still assist with technical support. Spare parts can be purchased or the generator can be shipped to Hypoxico for paid repair. For all issues, please submit the form here.
