Why Rent Altitude?
-
Acclimatization
Whether you're climbing Mount Everest or visiting Machu Picchu, prepare for the high altitude before ever leaving home in order to mitigate altitude sickness and spend less downtime at your destination.
-
High Altitude Competition
Be ready for the lowered oxygen at races such as the Leadville 100 and Hardrock 100, or for team sports matches taking place in high altitude cities.
-
Sea-Level Performance
Get the edge on the competition by boosting aerobic and anaerobic performance, leading to increased speed, power, and endurance.
How it Works
- Choose a Generator, tent, and any additional accessories.
- We'll schedule your rental period (weekly increments with a minimum 4 weeks) so the end date matches up with your trip or competition.
- If you decide to keep the unit after your rental period, you can apply up to 8 weeks of your rental cost towards a full buyout!
How long to rent
When it comes to time spent training, longer is always better, but we generally recommend between 4 and 8 weeks. Longer training times will result in a higher level of adaptation that lasts for a longer period of time, but whether or not this added benefit is necessary is entirely dependent on your own personal goals as well as the intensity of what you are training for.
Rental Generators
Every rental starts with an altitude generator, which supplies the hypoxic air to your tent or mask.
-
Sierra 100
An entry-level, yet highly capable, personal-use altitude generator. Ideal for exercising with the training mask and sleeping in the Head Bivy altitude tent. Not compatible with larger altitude tents due to its lower flow rate.
$150/weekPrice includes Head Bivy tent.
-
Everest Summit II
The best all-around personal altitude generator. Its reduced noise level and digital altitude adjustment enhances user experience, and the increased flow rate enables compatibility with every size altitude tent.
$210/weekPrice includes tent of your choice.
Choosing a generator
If you're on a budget, will only be performing mask training, or are comfortable sleeping in the small Head Bivy altitude tent, the Sierra 100 is a great choice. If you prefer simplified altitude adjustment, are more sensitive to noise while sleeping, or want to use any of our larger altitude tents, choose the Everest Summit II.
