By placing a Hypoxico rental, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Health & Safety
Exposure to hypoxia can cause physiological changes to the human body that may vary from person to person. In addition, hypoxic exposure may cause breathing difficulties in certain individuals. It is recommended that all users of Hypoxico equipment seek the consultation of a doctor prior to use. Individuals in poor health should take extra precaution or refrain from use of the equipment altogether.
Hypoxico equipment is not approved for medical use by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Hypoxico equipment is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any form of medical illness, disease, ailment or condition. Hypoxico does not employ or collaborate with medical professionals with regards to suggested methods of use of Hypoxico equipment for medical treatment.
Use of Hypoxico equipment is done entirely at your own risk.
Placing a Rental
Hypoxico Altitude Generators, Altitude Tents, and select accessories may be rented on a weekly basis in whole week increments (rounded up) for a minimum of 4 weeks. For sanitary purposes, Training Masks are final purchase only. Due to logistical complexities, rentals can only be placed within the contiguous United States and Canada.
The total cost for the entire rental period plus $150 for 2-way shipping must be paid in advance of delivery. Expedited shipping may be purchased for an additional cost, and is calculated at time of invoice.
Rental items are identified on the invoice and order confirmation by “Rental” in the line item, along the number of weeks being paid for. These items will remain the property of Hypoxico and must be returned after the rental period ends, unless a buyout is performed. Items without “Rental” in the line item are final purchase and must be kept after the rented items are returned.
To ensure an optimally timed training period, the official rental start and end dates will be agreed upon in advance and listed on the invoice, rather than being calculated from the date of payment or date of delivery. As the start date approaches, the rental will be shipped with sufficient time to account for normal fluctuations in carrier delivery times. If the rental arrives earlier than the official start date, the rental end date will remain the same and you will not be required to pay for the additional day(s). If the rental arrives later than the start date due to shipping delays, you will be refunded on a per-diem basis. If the rental does not arrive within 5 days of the start date, you will be given the option to cancel the rental entirely for a full refund.
Receiving Your Rental
Depending on the items included, your rental may be delivered in multiple boxes shipped simultaneously. You will be sent a tracking number by email for each package.
Once your rental arrives, carefully unbox it and keep all original packaging for return shipping. If there are any issues with the shipment, contact Hypoxico promptly.
Ongoing rentals may be extended in weekly increments. Simply contact Hypoxico with your new desired end date, and a digital invoice will be created to pay for the additional weeks and confirm the new end date.
If you wish to cancel a rental that has not shipped yet, contact Hypoxico promptly so it can be canceled and refunded. Once a rental has shipped, the first 4-weeks are nonrefundable. If you need to return your rental earlier than the official end date, contact Hypoxico to coordinate.
If you wish to keep the rented item(s), you may apply up to 8 weeks of your prepaid rental cost as a credit towards the full purchase price. You will also receive a $150 credit for the shipping fee included in the initial rental cost. The buyout will be paid for via a digital invoice indicating that you are purchasing the item(s) to own. Altitude Generators purchased through a rental buyout will include the standard 1-year/2,500 hour warranty, starting from the date the rental was delivered.
Returning Your Rental
Shortly before your rental end date, you will be contacted with return options and instructions.
Rented items must be returned to Hypoxico in good working condition, or a repair/replacement fee may be incurred. You will not be held responsible for normal wear and tear or equipment failure that occurs during proper use.
Prepare your items for return by placing them back in the original packaging and sealing the box(es) with packing tape. If the original packaging was lost or is damaged, contact Hypoxico for packing instructions. Damage that occurs as a result of inadequate packing may result in a repair/replacement fee. Items lost or damaged at the fault of UPS will be covered by the included shipping insurance.
You may return your rental using one of the the following 2 options:
UPS Store Drop Off (Included) - Hypoxico will provide the prepaid UPS return shipping label(s) by email. You may print and attach the label(s) either at home prior to drop off, or at the UPS Store using the QR included in the email. The package(s) must be dropped off at an official UPS Store and not at an unmanned or third-party drop off location.
UPS Pickup (+$100) - Hypoxico will arrange for a UPS driver to pick up the package(s) from your residence - no shipping label(s) required. Simply place the package(s) in a location safe from rain and theft, and 3 pickup attempts will be made on successive weekdays. If the driver is unable to perform the pickup due to the package(s) not being made available, UPS will cancel the pickup and an additional charge will be incurred to initiate a further 3 attempts.
