From Sea to Sky
Now you can convert any space in your home or gym into a simulated high-altitude training environment! Hypoxico specializes in converting any space for high-altitude exercise or sleep training. The converted space can be constructed using an existing room or a new space can be built specifically to accommodate hypoxic training.
Unlike a typical altitude chamber, an altitude room conversion creates a completely seamless look and feel and is ideal for group training, spin classes, and even altitude yoga. We work with some of the world’s most recognizable athletes, brands, universities and research institutions to create these world-class training environments so that athletes can meet their absolute potential.
Case Study: Human Performance Lab at UFC World Headquarters
The world’s foremost athletic names trust Hypoxico to create custom altitude solutions based on their unique circumstances. In 2016, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) began construction on their new world headquarters in Las Vegas, NV and reached out to us to create an altitude room in their newly minted Human Performance Center. As the only company in existence with the knowledge and experience to deliver on such a request, needless to say, we were happy to help.
The training room at the UFC is approximately 500 square feet and capable of accommodating up to 10 active users at a time. In the below picture, UFC superstar, Conor McGregor is doing a repeat sprint interval session at a simulated altitude of 10,000 feet above sea level. The hypoxic air we supply to the room is coming through the vent over Conor’s left shoulder.
Many of the world’s best athletes and several high profile business leaders have enlisted Hypoxico to convert existing spaces in their home to altitude. Most often, this is either the bedroom, home gym or office. In any case, the user benefits greatly and the installation is seamless with the existing decor and aesthetic of the home.
Our bedroom conversions allow users to do away with the altitude tent and sleep at altitude with maximum comfort. You can better understand the benefits of sleep training here. Of course, many people prefer to get hypoxic exposure while active, so we often convert home gyms to altitude as well. With these installations, user’s gain the benefits of hypoxic training without having to use out training mask. Users can also convert their workspace into an altitude environment. This approach enables long exposure during the day and can substitute for sleeping at altitude during the night. Just don’t be surprised if your emails take a little longer to write!
